With over a decade of veterinary experience, Dr. Chiu brings expertise in soft tissue surgery, urgent care, internal medicine, and more. Fluent in English and Mandarin, he founded and led A New Animal Hospital in Taiwan in 2013, showcasing his commitment to advancing global veterinary care.
Dr. Chiu completed the DVM degree at the National Ping-Tung University of Science and Technology in Taiwan in 2011. After years of practice, he decides to study abroad in Canada. He passed the international veterinarian exam and got a registered license in North America in 2022. With his passion and expertise, he opened the brand-new animal hospital in Richmond, BC, to serve the community of our furry family.
A Niu Veterinary Hospital in Canada is the second hospital he established. A Niu focuses on small animal medicine and urgent care, Dr. Chiu is passionated in soft tissue surgery and emergency medicine. “I preferred to work as a team, so under my direction, I built up a great medical team with a good Dr-client relationship based on our effective, efficient client communication”.
“I believe communication and teamwork would be the key to a successful animal hospital.” Dr. Chiu has been working as a small animal practitioner for over 10 years, and he is confident that his professional experience and clinical skills would be successfully utilized in the small animal practice field.
Bringing ten years of veterinary experience, Dr. Yang specializes in internal medicine, surgeries, and oncology. Fluent in English, Mandarin, and Cantonese, his dedication ensures exceptional care for your pets.
After years of pursuing veterinary studies (DVM and MVM) and practices in Asia, Dr Yang has decided to return to Vancouver in 2020. During his 8 years of practice, not only have Dr Yang obtained general medical knowledge and surgical skills as required by the expertise, but additionally, he has learned to communicate with a clientele of diverse ethnicities and background, perform an array of technical clinical skills and most importantly, cooperate with other doctors and technicians to create a smooth workflow and a reassuring experience for the clients.
Since the job of a veterinarian cannot be achieved by one person, Dr Yang always strives for consensual communication and effective team work to bring about the best outcome for staff and clients. Dr Yang believes, with his experiences and language advantages in Mandarin and Cantonese, he can provide service to best benefit the furry companions within the community as a veterinarian.
